Esra Şencebe — Biography
Esra Şencebe (born 21 December 1981 in Malatya) is a Turkish former professional basketball player. Standing 1.70 m, she played as a shooting guard.
She turned professional in 1999 and spent some two decades with clubs of the Turkish women's basketball league. Alongside a spell at Fenerbahçe, she joined Galatasaray in 2013, Foça Basketbol in 2015, Kırçiçeği Bodrum Basket in 2017, Canik Belediyespor in 2018 and Beşiktaş in 2019. In an interview given in 2020 she described herself as being in the closing years of her playing career.
After leaving the court she turned to coaching, and in 2021 was reported as the first woman to take charge of a team in Turkey's junior basketball league. Away from sport she has also taken an interest in fashion and business.
