Esra Güler — Biography
Esra Güler is a midfielder from Antalya who has spent most of her career in the lower divisions of Turkish women's football. She began at her hometown club and rose to captain it, and is best known for the 2014-15 Women's Second League title with promotion to the First League, and for finishing as Third League top scorer in 2018-19.
Born in Antalya, she finished Muratpaşa High School in 2011. Her father, who was a footballer, backed her playing even with the boys in the neighbourhood as a child. She took out her licence on 23 February 2007 for Yeni Kapı Gençler Birliği, which later became Antalyaspor, and began playing league matches from 2008-09. The team played as Medical Park Antalyaspor in 2011-12, was relegated to the Second League that season and left the Antalyaspor name. From 2012 to 2014 Güler played for the re-founded 1207 Antalya Spor, and as captain she was part of its 2014-15 Second League title and return to the First League.
In 2016-17 she moved to Kılıçaslan Yıldızspor in the Third League, and in 2018-19 she was the Third League's top scorer with 17 goals for Yeni Kemer Belediyespor. She made her only appearance for the Turkey U-21 side in a friendly against Belgium on 26 November 2014.
