Ertuğrul Taşkıran — Biography

Ertuğrul Taşkıran is a 1.91-metre Turkish goalkeeper who has kept goal for a long list of Süper Lig clubs. Having spent years at Fenerbahçe waiting behind Volkan Demirel, he built his real professional identity on loan elsewhere, and his 68 appearances for Kasımpaşa made him a regular first-choice keeper. Since July 2026 he has defended the goal of Erzurumspor FK.

His path began in Kartalspor's youth system in 2002 and continued with a professional contract in 2005. After a loan year in Fenerbahçe's academy and having caught the eye of Arthur Zico, he moved to the yellow-navy club in 2007. Under Christoph Daum he was called to the first-team camp at the start of 2009-10. He won the 2009 Turkish Super Cup and the 2010-11 Süper Lig with Fenerbahçe, though he found no playing time in those years.

His first professional league matches came at Samsunspor: he came on as a substitute against Galatasaray on 18 September 2011 and went on to play 28 matches that season. Two seasons at Kayserispor followed, where in 2012-13 he played 30 games and kept eight clean sheets. After a year at Sivasspor, then coached by Roberto Carlos, Fenerbahçe sold him to Boluspor in 2017 for one million euros, and the next year he joined Konyaspor on a free transfer. He signed a three-year deal with Kasımpaşa in September 2020 and moved to Alanyaspor in 2023. He is married and has a daughter.
