Ertuğrul Taşkıran — Biography

Born in Istanbul on 5 November 1989, Mahmut Ertuğrul Taşkıran is a 1.91-metre-tall Turkish goalkeeper. He started out in Kartalspor's youth system in 2002 and signed his first professional contract with the club in 2005. After a loan season in Fenerbahçe's academy, he impressed the coaching staff enough to earn a permanent move to the club in 2007, eventually being included in the first-team squad for the 2009-10 season.

Spending much of his Fenerbahçe career behind first-choice keeper Volkan Demirel, Taşkıran built his experience through a series of loan spells in the Süper Lig, making his senior debut with Samsunspor in 2011-12 before turns at Kayserispor, Sivasspor, Boluspor and Konyaspor. Signing with Kasımpaşa in 2020 marked the breakthrough of his career, as he made dozens of appearances for the Istanbul club and drew renewed attention before moving on to Alanyaspor for the 2023-24 season.

After his contract with Alanyaspor ended in June 2026, Taşkıran joined Erzurumspor FK in July 2026, continuing his goalkeeping career with the Anatolian club.
