Born on 13 February 1997 in Gölcük, a district of Kocaeli, Ertuğrul Ersoy is a 1.87-metre-tall center-back. After spending several seasons with Gaziantep FK, he left the club in May 2025 to sign with Bursaspor.
He quickly established himself as a key figure at Bursaspor, reaching his 100th appearance for the club in the autumn of 2025 before being named team captain. A defender with some international experience, he spoke in the summer of 2026 about Bursaspor's ambition to climb from the TFF First League into the Süper Lig.
