Ertuğrul Arslan — Biography

Ertuğrul Arslan was born on 26 January 1980 in Sivas and built a playing career as a midfielder for a long list of Turkish clubs, including Antalyaspor, Bursaspor, Sivasspor, Konyaspor, Kayseri Erciyesspor, Kayserispor, Elazığspor, Göztepe, Balıkesirspor and Körfez SK. After retiring as a player he moved into coaching, working as an assistant at Germany's Borussia Dortmund, an experience he later described as being 'like a school.'

Arslan went on to manage TFF First League side Boluspor as head coach before stepping down in January 2026. He was appointed head coach of Bandırmaspor shortly afterward and, heading into the 2026-27 season, has spoken about completing the squad and getting his team ready to compete in the league.
