Ersay Üner — Biography

Songs he wrote and composed first made Ersay Üner's name as a Turkish pop songwriter; later his own voice did the same. He became known in the 2000s with hits written for Demet Akalın, and his 2017 single İki Aşık, with more than 200 million YouTube views, became his biggest solo success. He continues to perform and to release new singles regularly.

He came to music through the wedding ceremonies at the municipality where his father worked, and moved to Istanbul at 14 to make music. After joining Demet Akalın's team he wrote Afedersin, Bebek, Herkes Hak Ettiği Gibi Yaşıyor, Mucize, Tatil and Unuttum for her; in 2012 Yılan, sung by Akalın, brought him wide fame in the industry. He also supplied Gücüm Yetmez to Nâlân, Söyleyin and Kızıl Mavi to Ebru Gündeş, Hava Hoş to Ziynet Sali and Yaz Aşkı to Sibel Tüzün.

He moved into singing with his first single Yürüdüm (2015). İki Aşık reached the charts in Turkey and Azerbaijan, and its music was reworked in Bulgarian in 2022. His debut album Nokta came out in 2019, followed by Taverna (2024) and Ruh Hassası (2026), alongside the duets Allı Turnam (with Burcu Arı) and Büyük Oyun (with Demet Akalın). In 2017 he became engaged to actress Büşra Pekin; the couple separated in 2019.
