Erhan Albayrak — Biography

Erhan Albayrak (born 5 April 1977 in Hamburg) is a German-born Turkish footballer and coach. Wikidata records both Turkish and German citizenship, and the German Wikipedia article likewise presents him as German-Turkish. As a player his position was on the left of midfield.

Turkish sources single out Gaziantepspor, Konyaspor and Fenerbahçe as the defining stops of his career; the longer club list in the Persian Wikipedia article adds Ankaragücü, Kocaelispor, Çaykur Rizespor, Ankaraspor, Arminia Bielefeld, Uerdingen 05 and Werder Bremen. He also appeared for Turkey's youth and under-21 sides.

After retiring he moved into coaching in Germany. Milliyet ran the headline "the Erhan Albayrak era at St. Pauli" in November 2012; Turkish outlets reported in 2016 and 2018 that he had been appointed head coach of Rot Weiss Ahlen, that he joined KFC Uerdingen in May 2017, and that he took charge of FSV Duisburg in September 2018. In 2025 he was reported playing in Fenerbahçe legends fixtures staged in Germany.
