Erdoğan Emir — Biography

Erdoğan Emir (born April 29, 1958, in Çığırlı) is a Turkish musician of Zaza descent. He began his career performing with groups such as Grup Eylül Yağmurları, Grup Gölge, Grup Sürgün, Grup Yel and Grup Munzur before moving on to a solo career.

He has released two solo albums, the first on the Kom Müzik label in 2010 and the second on Kalan Müzik in 2016, and sings mostly in the Zaza language; he also lent a guest vocal to "Gel Bana" on Hakan Vreskala's album Duyuyor musun. In 2022 he released the single "Ey Benim Divane Gönlüm," followed by the album Bavok and a joint single with fellow musician Manuş Baba the same year.
