Erdal Rakip — Biography
Erdal Rakip (Macedonian: Ердал Ракип; Albanian: Erdal Rakipi; born 13 February 1996 in Malmö) is a footballer who plays as a midfielder and is listed at 1.79 m. The record of his nationality is not consistent: Wikidata lists Swedish and Turkish citizenship, while the German, English, Spanish, French and Russian Wikipedias all describe him as Swedish-North Macedonian, a reading his international career supports.
He broke into Swedish professional football in 2013 and won several national championships with Malmö FF. In January 2018 he transferred to the English club Crystal Palace. He joined Antalyaspor in January 2023 and played in the Süper Lig; according to the German Wikipedia he has been contracted to the Polish I liga side Miedź Legnica since January 2026.
Having played for Sweden at under-17, under-19 and under-21 level, he opted for North Macedonia at senior level and made two appearances for them in 2021.
