Ercüment Sunter — Biography
Ercüment Sunter (born 6 January 1955 in Ankara) is a Turkish basketball coach and former player who has worked in the Turkish Basketball League for more than two decades. Over the course of his career he has coached clubs including Beslen, PTT, Türk Telekom and Ülkerspor, and he also led the Turkish national team at both senior and junior levels, taking charge of the national side at EuroBasket 1997 in Spain.
Sunter's longest association was with Türk Telekom, whom he signed with again ahead of the 2007-08 season to become the club's coach for a tenth time, a club record; he also had a spell in charge of Mersin Büyükşehir Belediyespor. He returned to Türk Telekom once more in 2018.
His most recent post was with TED Ankara Kolejliler, where his resignation was accepted at the end of 2015 following a change in the club's board.
