Erci E — Biography
Ercüment Ergün (born 1973 in West Berlin), better known by his stage name Erci E, is a Turkish-German rapper, singer and songwriter. He was born in Berlin's Reinickendorf district to a family of Turkish immigrant workers.
In the mid-1990s he was among the founding members of Cartel, one of the pioneering groups of Turkish-language rap, and became widely known through the group's landmark 1995 release. Alongside his work as a musician, he has also been active as a producer and radio presenter.
He has continued making music in later years, performing with Cartel again after the group's members reunited for concerts in the 2020s.
