Eray İşcan — Biography

Eray İşcan was born on 19 July 1991 in the Kilimli district of Zonguldak. A tall, physically strong goalkeeper, he took up football in 2005 in the youth setup of Kilimli Belediyespor, spending three seasons there before signing his first professional contract in 2008 with Beylerbeyispor, then Galatasaray's feeder club. His displays soon earned him a move into Galatasaray's youth teams.

He became first-choice keeper for the reserve side and played a major part in their Turkish A2 League title in 2010-11, which brought promotion to the senior squad in 2011. He made his Süper Lig debut in May 2013 and collected his first league winners' medal that season. Serving mainly as backup to Fernando Muslera, he was part of the Galatasaray squads that won three Süper Lig titles, three Turkish Cups and three Turkish Super Cups, and he also featured in UEFA Champions League group matches in 2013-14. His contract was extended in 2014, and he remained at the club for many years.

İşcan joined Kayserispor in 2019, a period in which he underwent surgery for an injury. After retiring from playing, he moved into coaching and returned to Galatasaray as goalkeeping coach in August 2024.
