Ender Konca — Biography
Ender Konca (born 22 September 1947 in Istanbul) is a former Turkish international footballer and coach who played as a forward. He began his career in Kasımpaşa's youth system, made his professional league debut at just 15 on 8 June 1963, and moved to İstanbulspor in 1966–67, where he played 32 league matches.
Transferring to Eskişehirspor in 1967, Konca became one of the club's legendary players: he scored 12 goals in his first season, fought Galatasaray for the title in 1968–69, finished runner-up in the league and Turkish Cup in 1969–70, and in 1970–71 was part of the squad that made history by eliminating Spanish side Sevilla in the Fairs' Cup, going on to win both the Turkish Cup and the Presidential Cup. With teammates Fethi and Nihat, he formed the club's legendary attacking trio. In 1971 he joined Eintracht Frankfurt, becoming one of the first Turkish players in the Bundesliga. Returning to Turkey in 1973, he won the Süper Lig and Turkish Cup with Fenerbahçe in 1973–74, and scored against Jeunesse d'Esch in the European Cup, a goal that entered the club's European history. He left Eskişehirspor, where he returned in 1977, in a testimonial match against Sakaryaspor on 7 August 1983. Konca also played for the Turkey national team, and went into coaching after retiring as a player.
