Emrullah Şalk — Biography

Emrullah Şalk is a former Turkish goalkeeper who spent most of his career in the country's second-tier leagues, mostly as a back-up. Born in Istanbul, he took part in a play-off title with Konyaspor and in a promotion to the Süper Lig with Balıkesirspor, and he has since left active football.

He turned professional in 2005 at Zeytinburnuspor and played fourteen matches for them in 2007-08. He then moved to Çaykur Rizespor, where two seasons brought only three league appearances. He agreed terms with Samsunspor but never played for the club; he was loaned to Eyüpspor and returned there when the Samsunspor contract ran out. In the mid-season window of 2011-12 he joined Kayseri Erciyesspor, and in 2012-13 he was at Konyaspor when the team won the play-offs. In 2008 he was once named in the Turkey under-21 squad, but he stayed on the bench in that match and did not win a cap.

On 17 June 2013 he signed a one-year contract with Balıkesirspor, then a second-division side. In his first season the red-and-white team went up to the Süper Lig and his contract was extended. At the end of 2014-15 he left for Adana Demirspor, who were competing in the second division at the time. He went back to Konyaspor in January 2018, and in January 2020 he was among the players signed by Bursaspor.
