Emrecan Uzunhan — Biography

Emrecan Uzunhan is a young defender born in Istanbul. The turning point of his career was the summer-2022 move from İstanbulspor to Beşiktaş on a five-year contract; he was in Beşiktaş's squads for the 2023-24 Turkish Cup and the 2024 Super Cup, and has spent time out on loan to gain experience. He is currently at İstanbulspor on loan from Beşiktaş.

He made his first Süper Lig appearance for Beşiktaş on 14 August 2022 against Alanyaspor, and was sent off in the 37th minute of that match for a second yellow card. In February 2023 he was loaned to Antalyaspor until the end of the season. In July 2023 he was attacked in Bakırköy after a traffic accident; an injury kept him out for a long time and he played only in the last match of 2023-24, against Kasımpaşa. Before 2024-25 he was loaned to Antalyaspor again, and in September 2025 Beşiktaş loaned him to İstanbulspor.
