Emre Korkmaz — Biography

Emre Korkmaz (born 19 June 1986, in Istanbul) is a Turkish stage and screen actor. He began performing in amateur theatre productions during his school years, and stepped into professional acting in 2005 by joining Hadi Çaman's Yeditepe Players, followed by two and a half years of formal theatre training at Studio Players under the direction of Şahika Tekand.

A graduate of Kocaeli University's Tourism and Hotel Management program and Eskişehir University's Business Administration department, Korkmaz has also worked as a drama instructor, teaching theatre and drama to young children for a year through a program run jointly with UNICEF and the state child-welfare agency SHÇEK. He performed with the İlkay Eser theatre in Kocaeli and with a troupe affiliated with the Moda Deniz Club founded by İdil Yazgan.

Since 2015 he has been an active member of the Tiyatro Lir company, and he continues to appear in various television series and films.
