Emre Demir — Biography
Emre Demir is one of the earliest-blooming names in Turkish football: in 2019, aged just 15, he scored for Kayserispor and became the youngest goalscorer in Süper Lig history. An attacking midfielder or winger, after a path that took him to Barcelona and back to Fenerbahçe, he signed a three-year contract with Alanyaspor in August 2026.
He began playing at six with a local club in Mersin and moved to Kayserispor's youth system two years later, also attending trials at Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain. He signed his first professional contract with Kayserispor in January 2019; his November 2019 goal against Gençlerbirliği set the record for youngest scorer in the Süper Lig, a mark previously held by Enes Ünal. Barcelona agreed a deal in September 2021 and the move took place in the summer of 2022, on a five-year contract with a 400 million euro release clause, but he made only two appearances for the B team.
In January 2023 he joined Fenerbahçe on a free transfer. He spent his first season on loan at Samsunspor, winning the First League title, then was loaned to Ümraniyespor for 2023-24 and later played for Sakaryaspor. At youth level he played 48 matches for Turkey's teams from U-14 to U-19 and scored seven goals.
