Emre Çolak — Biography
Emre Çolak was born on 20 May 1991 in the Eminönü district of Istanbul. An attacking midfielder and winger, he came through every youth level of the Turkish national team before earning his first senior cap in a 2012 World Cup qualifier against Romania under head coach Abdullah Avcı.
Over his career he played for a number of clubs including Galatasaray, became the first Turkish footballer to play in the Saudi Professional League, and joined Fatih Karagümrük in December 2020 before retiring from professional football in February 2023 at the age of 31.
After hanging up his boots, Çolak moved into the restaurant business in Spain, opening a second location there in 2025 as he built a new career outside football.
