Emre Basalak — Biography

Emre Basalak was born on 28 April 1979 in İstanbul. He completed his acting training in the Theatre Department of the Ankara State Conservatory, went on to perform at the İstanbul State Theatre and Eskişehir State Theatre, and also appeared in commercials for brands such as Pınar and İdeal Kart.

He began his television career with the series Ekmek Teknesi and later appeared in Köprü and Deniz Yıldızı. Since 2019 he has played the character Gündüz in the ATV series Kuruluş Osman, holding one of the long-running roles within the show's large ensemble cast.

Basalak, who is married to Pınar Basalak, is known for bringing his theatre background's discipline to his television work.
