Emrah Tuncel — Biography

Emrah Tuncel was born on 14 September 1987 in Malatya, in eastern Turkey. A goalkeeper, he came through the Turkish system and also represented the Turkey under-21 national side.

His professional career has been spent largely with provincial Turkish clubs. Adana Demirspor, Boluspor, Şanlıurfaspor, Akhisar Belediyespor, Tarsus İdman Yurdu and Malatyaspor are among the teams he has played for. He left Akhisar Belediyespor in January 2016 and was linked with Ankaragücü and Manisaspor in the seasons that followed.

He carried on in Turkey's lower divisions in the later part of his career, and reference works disagree on his most recent club, listing sides such as Ceyhanspor and Adana 1954 — a reflection of how often squads change at that level. Turkish local media reported in 2024 that he had finished a regional amateur league season as the goalkeeper conceding the fewest goals.
