Emir — Biography

Emir — full name Emir Sevinç — is a Turkish singer-songwriter born 7 September 1980 in Istanbul. After graduating in radio and television from Marmara University's communication faculty, he turned to music and broke through in 2009 with his debut album Ben Sen Olamam, whose title track was written and composed by Tarkan; music videos followed for further album tracks including "Tornistan," "Eline Düştüm," "Şiki Şiki" and "Aşk mı Savaş mı?"

He released a second album, Ateşten Bi' Rüzgâr, in 2012, his first single "Tutuşmayan Kalmasın" in 2013, and his debut EP Kendimden in 2015. "Eline Düştüm" earned the Most Requested Song prize at the 2009 Istanbul FM Music Awards, while "Tutuşmayan Kalmasın" was named best song/single at both the Düzce and Ege University media award ceremonies in 2014. In November 2016 he released the single "Mevsim Sonbahar" on Sony Music, directed by his brother Erdi Sevinç, which spent weeks in the top ten of Turkish radio and TV airplay charts.
