Emel Heinreich is a versatile artist born 27 June 1962 in Kayseri, Turkey, who holds both Turkish and Austrian citizenship. Over her career she has worked across a striking range of disciplines, including directing, acting, writing, dance and mask carving.

Based largely in Austrian film and television production, she is best known for her role in the 2009 production Tatort: Baum der Erlösung, part of Germany's long-running crime series Tatort; IMDb records indicate she has appeared in other episodes of the series as well.
