Efkan Bekiroğlu was born on 14 September 1995 in Dachau, Germany, and holds dual German-Turkish citizenship. A 1.85-meter-tall midfielder, he began his professional career in Germany, making 58 appearances for TSV 1860 München in the 3. Liga before moving on to Turkey.
In Turkey, Bekiroğlu joined Süper Lig side Alanyaspor for the 2022-23 season and later signed with Göztepe, where his consistent performances led the club to extend his contract by an additional year in May 2026. Just two months later, in July 2026, he moved on again, joining Sivasspor alongside fellow experienced midfielder Tolga Ciğerci.
