Efe Akman — Biography

Born on 20 March 2006, Efe Akman grew up in Istanbul's Şişli district. He joined Galatasaray's youth setup at the age of ten and progressed steadily through the club's age groups, earning a place in the senior squad's pre-season training camp at sixteen. He made his competitive debut in the Süper Lig against Konyaspor in January 2024 and signed a four-year professional contract with Galatasaray later that year.

In September 2025 he moved to FC Andorra in Spain's second-tier league on another four-year deal. He drew praise for setting up a goal on his debut for the Spanish club and has featured as a deep-lying playmaker in midfield. Akman has also represented Turkey at youth level, starting with the under-16 side and later featuring in the squad for the European under-17 championship. He comes from a footballing family: his father is former international Ayhan Akman, while his brother Hamza and cousin Ali Akman are also professional players.
