Ebru Topçu — Biography

Ebru Topçu was born on 27 August 1996 in Karadeniz Ereğli and has become one of the leading figures in Turkish women's football. After representing the under-15, under-17 and under-19 national squads, she earned her first call-up to Turkey's senior women's national team in 2013 and now holds the record as its most-capped player.

Topçu plays for Galatasaray's women's football team in Istanbul, where she also serves as team captain. She was named the club's Player of the Year in August 2025, and in the summer of 2026 she extended her contract with the yellow-and-red side. In interviews she has cited İlkay Gündoğan as a footballer she looks up to, and has repeatedly described her Galatasaray side as one of the league's strongest teams.
