Ebru Şallı — Biography

From modelling through presenting to a pilates and healthy-living brand, the Turkish name Ebru Şallı spans several fields. She became known when she won the Queen of Turkey contest in 1995, and today she works as a pilates instructor, author and television presenter. In August 2026 she was photographed doing pilates in the sea after a fashion show in Bodrum.

After the contest she moved into television in the late 1990s and early 2000s, acting in the series Gölge Çiçeği, Reyting Hamdi, Unutabilsem and Belalım Benim. She left the runway when she married in 2002 and turned her attention to motherhood, nutrition and exercise. Her first book, Hamilelikte Sağlıklı ve Güzel Kalmak, appeared in 2005, followed by books on children's meals, natural beauty and cooking, and then Ebru Şallı ile Pilates. She made seven instructional DVDs on pilates, cellulite and abdominal exercise, the first of which sold more than 55,000 copies, and opened her own online store in 2012. On TV8 she presented Ebru'nun Mutfağı, and on Beyaz TV the weekday programme Ebruli. She has said in an interview that she is a vegetarian.

She finished Nişantaşı Girls' High School in 1996 and did not go on to university. In 2020 she lost her son to lymphoma; in recent years she has spoken openly about her grief and addressed other mothers who have been through the same loss.
