Doğuş — Biography

Orhan Baltacı (born 30 June 1974 in Germany), known professionally as Doğuş, is a Turkish pop singer, songwriter and composer.

His family, originally from İkizdere in Rize, moved to Turkey when he was four. Following family problems he left home as a child and spent time living on the streets, during which he began writing his own lyrics and melodies. Produced by İskender Ulus, he released his self-titled debut album in 1997, with tracks such as Gamsız topping the charts. Follow-up albums including Doğuş ve Şarkıları, Hadi Hızlandır, Sevdim and Denge established him as a well-known pop performer. In 2006 he turned toward arabesk music, later founding his own label, Doğ Müzik, and producing records for other artists. He competed on Survivor in 2012. In 2014 he married Azerbaijani television presenter Xoşqədəm Baxşəliyeva; the couple has twin children.
