Doğan Alemdar — Biography
Doğan Alemdar, a goalkeeper standing close to 1.90 metres, was born on 29 October 2002 in the Kocasinan district of Kayseri. He joined Kayserispor's academy as a boy, signed his first professional contract at fifteen in March 2018, and made his senior debut against Manisa FK in a December 2019 Turkish Cup fixture, becoming the club's youngest-ever captain at seventeen. By the 2020-21 season he was established as one of Kayserispor's league goalkeepers, appearing in 29 Süper Lig matches.
His performances drew interest from abroad, and in August 2021 he moved to Ligue 1 side Stade Rennais, later spending the 2023-24 season on loan at Ligue 2 club Troyes, where he became first-choice keeper. After returning to Rennes he signed a four-year deal with İstanbul Başakşehir in September 2025, then joined Beşiktaş in July 2026 on a contract running to 2030, entering competition with fellow goalkeeper Alexander Nübel. Alemdar rose through Turkey's youth national teams from under-17 level and earned his first senior cap in June 2022 against Lithuania. He is regarded as one of Turkish football's promising young goalkeepers, noted for his command of crosses and composure in one-on-one situations.
