Dilşa Demirbağ Sten — Biography
Dilşa Demirbağ-Sten is a Kurdish-Turkish journalist, author, and television presenter born on 10 October 1969 in Elazığ before her family moved to Sweden, where she built her career in journalism and public life. She studied political science and history at Stockholm University and has written for major Swedish outlets including Expressen, Dagens Nyheter, and Göteborgs-Posten.
In 2011 she co-founded the foundation Berättarministeriet together with Robert Weil and Sven Hagströmer, and continues to serve as its secretary general. Since 2019 she has sat on the Swedish Press Council, and in April of that year she was named to the board of the Nobel Center Foundation, reflecting her standing in Sweden's cultural and media institutions.
