Dilaver Satılmış — Biography
Born on 24 February 1979 in Basel, Switzerland, Dilaver Satılmış is a Swiss-born footballer of Turkish descent. Raised in Basel as the son of Turkish immigrants, he came up through FC Basel's youth ranks before moving to Turkey at age seventeen to spend three seasons with Trabzonspor.
Back in Switzerland, the left-back turned out for FC Luzern, SR Delémont and FC Wil, helping Wil win promotion to the Nationalliga A in 2002 and earning 15 caps for the Swiss under-21 side along the way. He later returned to Turkey for a spell with Diyarbakırspor before finishing his career in Germany with SV Darmstadt 98 and Wacker Burghausen, retiring from professional football in 2009.
