Dilara Soley Deli — Biography

Dilara Soley Deli is a 1.77 m defender and midfielder who was born in Germany and holds both Azerbaijani and Turkish citizenship. After representing Azerbaijan at youth level she chose the Turkey women's national team; her last known club is Schalke 04.

She began her career in 2018-19 in the youth team of FSV Gütersloh in Germany. She then played four matches for Arminia Bielefeld in the 2019-20 2. Frauen-Bundesliga and two in 2020-21, and twice in the 2019-20 DFB-Pokal Frauen. In the 2021-22 Regionalliga West season she appeared in four games for SV 07 Elversberg, and in 2023-24 she moved to Belgian Women's Super League club Royal Charleroi. In January 2025, after a brief stint with Spanish side Sporting de Huelva, she joined Schalke 04.

Her international career began with Azerbaijan: on 28 March 2018 she scored her team's only goal against Iceland for the under-17s, in three appearances, and she played six matches for the Azerbaijan under-19s, scoring the winner against Albania on 8 October 2019. In June 2022 she was called up to a Turkey preparation camp, and on 17 July 2023 she made her debut for Turkey in a friendly against Estonia in Tallinn. In February 2024 she said in an interview with the Turkish Football Federation that the national team gives her positive energy.
