Derya Arhan — Biography

Derya Arhan is a women's footballer who plays as a defender, stands out for her free-kicks, and has taken the path from the youth national teams to the senior side, with spells abroad along the way. Born in Bayrampaşa, she moved from Azerbaijan's Neftçi to the Polish club Pogoń Szczecin on a one-year contract in the summer of 2026.

Her club journey began in the girls' team of Karadeniz Ereğli Belediyespor, and from 2013-14 she played in its women's side. She won the title with Beşiktaş in 2018-19, moved to Spain's Santa Teresa CD in July 2019, and returned home in October 2019 to win the 2019-20 title with ALG Spor. On 3 November 2020 she scored in her first Champions League match, against Vllaznia Shkodër. In 2021 she spent a short spell in Ukraine with Zhytlobud-2 and finished 2021-22 as runner-up with Fatih Karagümrük. She then wore the shirts of Galatasaray (2022), Beylerbeyi (2023), Fenerbahçe (2024) and Yüksekova (2025).

At youth level she made two appearances and scored one goal for the under-15s; with the under-19s between 2015 and 2018 she played 24 matches and scored two goals, and was in the squad that won the 2016 UEFA Development Tournament. She made her senior debut on 8 November 2018 against Georgia.
