Deniz Oral — Biography

Deniz Oral is an actor from Mersin whose route ran from the stage to cinema and television. He reached his widest audience as Hilmi in the series Seksenler, and in film he has worked steadily as a character actor. His most recent credit is the 2026 film Ketenpere: Dalavere.

He met the stage as a child: his older sister, who acted at the Mersin Regional Theatre, brought him on when a child actor was needed, and his first play was "Almanya'dan Bir Yar Gelir Bizlere". He stayed on as an amateur for a long time and also played professional football for 15 years. In 1985 he went to Ankara, began dubbing for TRT a year later and moved into professional theatre. After seven years in Ankara he relocated to Istanbul for a new stage project; he has also released a music album, Kaçma Benden.

His screen work began in the 1990s with Her Şey Çok Güzel Olacak and Ruhsar, followed by Yeditepe İstanbul, Zerda and Papatyam (as Lütfü). In Seksenler he first played Turgut Özal in 2013 and then Hilmi from 2019 to 2022. In cinema he appeared in 72. Koğuş (2011), Çarsi Pazar (2015) and Mucize 2: Aşk (2019), where he plays Hasan, as well as Karaoğlan, Kutsal Damacana 4, Koparan Kardeşler and Geniş Aile: Cevahir & Ulvi. He also appeared in the series Seven Ne Yapmaz.
