Deniz Kılıçlı — Biography

Mükremin Deniz Kılıçlı was born on 23 October 1990 in Samsun and, standing 2.05 meters tall, has built a career as a Turkish professional basketball player at the power forward and center positions. He played college basketball for West Virginia University in the United States, becoming the first Turkish player to appear in an NCAA Final Four.

Kılıçlı began his professional career with Anadolu Efes in the 2013-14 season and, that same year, won a gold medal with the Turkish national team at the 2013 Mediterranean Games. In the years that followed he wore the jerseys of İBB (2015-16), Büyükçekmece (2017), Pınar Karşıyaka (signed in 2022, re-signed in 2023), Mersin, and Ankaragücü (2024), before playing for Çayırova Belediye in 2025.

He married Büşra Cansu in 2015, and has since lived with his wife, Büşra Kılıçlı.
