Deniz Ertaş — Biography

Deniz Ertaş is a young goalkeeper who came through the Konyaspor youth system and took over the first-team goal. Standing 1.93 m tall, he was born in İzmir and holds both Turkish and Moldovan citizenship, with Moldovan roots on his mother's side and Turkish on his father's.

He started playing at ten with Kuşadası Küçükadaspor, spent a season at Altınordu at twelve, then moved to Bursaspor in 2018 and the Konyaspor youth system in 2019. In November 2022, aged 17, he signed his first professional contract with Konyaspor. He made his first-team debut in November 2023 in a 3-0 Turkish Cup win over Erbaaspor; in December 2023 he extended his contract to 2027 and from January 2024 he began playing in the Süper Lig, his first league match coming against Galatasaray.

He moved through the national youth levels: he was called to a Turkey U16 camp in 2021, played his first U17 match in April 2022, was in the squad for the 2024 UEFA European Under-19 Championship and was called up to the U20s in October 2024. He made his U21 debut in a June 2025 friendly against Montenegro. In 2026 he was also invited to a senior national team camp.
