Cumali Bişi — Biography
Cumali Bişi was born on 15 June 1993 in Kocaeli and plays as a defensive midfielder. He started out at Darıca Gençlerbirliği, was noticed in national-team circles, had a trial at Fenerbahçe, and then signed for Beşiktaş, agreeing a professional contract with the club at just 14. Coming up through Beşiktaş's lower sides, he trained occasionally with Mustafa Denizli's first team in 2009-10 and made his Süper Lig debut on the final matchday of that season against Bursaspor, replacing Michael Fink. The following season Bernd Schuster included him in squads for a cup quarterfinal and the Galatasaray derby, but he only got on the pitch in the last-day game against Gaziantepspor.
Loaned to Çaykur Rizespor for the 2011-12 season, he tore his cruciate ligament in his debut match and was out for seven and a half months; in 2012 he signed permanently with the club on a four-year deal, helped it win promotion to the Süper Lig in his first season there, and scored his first senior goal in a winning effort against Kayseri Erciyesspor. In the years that followed he went on loan to Adana Demirspor, then played for Boluspor, Büyükşehir Gaziantepspor, Balıkesirspor, a second spell at Boluspor, another at Balıkesirspor, Şanlıurfaspor from 2022, and Kastamonuspor, leaving the latter in February 2025 to sign with TFF 2. Lig club Muşspor. Internationally, he was called up to Turkey's under-18 squad in 2010, has played for the under-20 side since 2012, and represented Turkey at the 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
