Çılgın Sedat — Biography

Çılgın Sedat, whose real name is Sedat Kapurtu, is an entertainer who has combined music, television acting and professional football in one career. He became widely known through the Survivor competition on TV8, which he entered in 2017 and again in 2025. His family is originally from Sivas.

Interested in football from a young age, Kapurtu studied for four years at the Kadıköy Public Education Center and began in music playing the tar and the cümbüş; he also plays the bağlama, kanun, drum kit, davul and keyboard. His albums include Delikanlı Gibi (2000), Bastıra Bastıra Aşk (2002) and Bir Daha Mı Tövbe (2004). On television he appeared in series such as Bizim Karakol, Dilan Gelin and Gül ve Peri, and in cinema he acted in Benim Adım Osssman (2018) and Laz Kit (2020). A karate, taekwondo and kickboxing athlete who has also refereed Muay Thai, he played professional football for Zeytinburnuspor between 2008 and 2011.

In 2017 he competed in the Celebrities team of Survivor, was eliminated at the end of day 63 and finished 19th; the same year he took part in the programme Boxun Yıldızları. In 2025 he returned to Survivor and finished 12th. He is married with two children.
