Cihat Arslan — Biography
Cihat Arslan is a former Turkish footballer and football manager, born on 9 February 1970 in Gömeç, Balıkesir. Of Bosniak descent with family roots in the Sandžak region, the 1.92-meter defender began his professional career with second-tier club Ayvalıkgücü between 1988 and 1990 before going on to play for İstanbul Başakşehir, Eskişehirspor, Denizlispor, Gaziantepspor, Galatasaray, Karşıyaka, Kayserispor, Kocaelispor and Kasımpaşa, as well as representing Turkey at under-21 level.
After retiring as a player, Arslan moved into coaching and took charge of TFF 2. Lig club Şanlıurfaspor on several occasions, most recently returning for a fourth spell in autumn 2025 before parting ways with the club in February 2026.
