Ceyda Aslı Kılıçkıran — Biography

Ceyda Aslı Kılıçkıran (born February 16, 1968, in İzmir) is a Turkish screenwriter, film director, writer and journalist. She studied English Language and Literature at the Faculty of Letters of Istanbul University.

She has worked in cinema as both a screenwriter and a director. Her screenwriting credits include Bağımsızlığı ve Seni Seviyorum (2003), Bir Parça Özgürlük (2005), Watermark (2005) and Geçerken Uğradım (2007), the last three of which she also directed. In 2007 she also directed the feature film Kilit.

Known for her films centred on women, Kılıçkıran has also been active as a writer and journalist alongside her film work.
