Cevdet Sümer — Biography
Cevdet Sümer (17 December 1922 – 1967) was a Turkish equestrian who competed in show jumping. Born in Istanbul, the 1.71 m tall rider represented Turkey at the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome, taking part in both the individual and the team jumping events.
In the individual competition he finished fifteenth riding Zambak, while in the team event Turkey was eliminated after the first round in seventeenth place. Sümer, one of the earliest Olympians of Turkish equestrian sport, died in 1967.
