Cenk İşler — Biography
Cenk İşler (born 25 February 1974 in Cologne) is a retired Turkish international footballer who played as a forward. Born in Cologne, Germany, into a family originally from Samsun, the 1.80 m tall striker made his mark in attack.
Capped by the Turkish national team, İşler was known for his goalscoring as well as his sportsmanship on the pitch. After hanging up his boots, he remained a respected figure of Turkish football and is still remembered as one of the notable strikers of his era.
İşler has remained a public figure since his playing days: in January 2026 he made the news when, referred to as a "legendary striker", he visited Abdullah Deniz, the president of the Çanakkale Commodity Exchange.
