Cenk Hakan Köksal — Biography

Cenk Hakan Köksal is a Turkish actor born in Erzincan in 1982. Known for his roles in television series, Köksal has also trained in theater directing and has worked as an instructor in acting workshops alongside his acting career.

Köksal began his education in the Business Administration Department at İzzet Baysal University and completed his degree there, then turned toward the performing arts, graduating from the Theatre Directing Department at Istanbul Aydın University. These two very different fields of study formed a foundation that fed both the acting and teaching sides of his career; his classes at the Oyuncu Tayfası acting workshop, where he works with aspiring actors, are an extension of this background.

He stepped into his screen career in 2013 with the series Bir Kezban Bir Mahmut. Following this first series experience, he appeared in two separate productions in 2015 at once. The first of these was Gamsız Hayat, whose cast included actors such as Alara Bozbey, Berrak Kuş, Güzide Arslan, Hakan Ummak, Kenan Acar, Nail Kırmızıgül, and Onur Bilge.

The production that began the same year and brought Köksal to a wide audience was Eşkıya Dünyaya Hükümdar Olmaz, broadcast on ATV. Playing the character Cengiz in the long-running series, the actor shared the cast with names such as Oktay Kaynarca, Mustafa Üstündağ, Ozan Akbaba, Kenan Çoban, Hüseyin Avni Danyal, Tarık Ünlüoğlu, Turgay Tanülkü, and Atilla Şendil. During this period Köksal continued his series acting while also continuing to give acting instruction through his workshop work.
