Cemil Usta — Biography
Cemil Usta was born on 10 April 1951 in Trabzon. A left-back by trade, he spent his entire senior career with a single club, Trabzonspor, and captained the side for many years during the team's golden era in the 1970s. His sturdy build on the pitch earned him the nicknames Dozer and Takoz among supporters.
Usta also earned two caps for the Turkey national football team. After retiring, he remained closely associated with Trabzonspor's history as one of its most respected captains, and the club and the Turkish Football Federation continue to commemorate him each year on the anniversary of his death. Cemil Usta died on 15 March 2003 in Trabzon, the city of his birth.
