Cem Sultan — Biography
Cem Sultan (born 27 February 1991 in Haznedar, Istanbul) is a Turkish footballer who played as a striker. The Turkish Wikipedia notes that his family originates from Siirt. To keep him apart from the far better-known Ottoman prince of the same name, both the Turkish and English Wikipedia articles carry a "footballer" disambiguator in their titles.
The Arabic Wikipedia entry lists Galatasaray, Kayserispor, Manisaspor, Mersin İdmanyurdu and Gümüşhanespor among his clubs, and adds that he played for Turkey at under-17, under-19 and under-21 level. In December 2022 the national press referred to him as a former Galatasaray player while reporting a surprise transfer.
The Turkish Wikipedia speaks of him in the past tense, whereas the English article says he plays as a striker for the Circassian amateur club Nart SK; the latter is a frozen snapshot. The history, mausoleum and film coverage that clusters around his Ottoman namesake has no bearing on this person.
