Cem Belevi

Cem Belevi — Biography

The duet Kim Ne Derse Desin, recorded with Ayshe, brought Turkish pop singer and actor Cem Belevi to a wide audience; he writes the words and music of his own songs. Moving between the stage and the screen, he released a new single, Sevme Diyor, in 2026 and announced a new project called Mucize.

He met music early: piano lessons at seven, guitar at thirteen. At eighteen he went to England, studying English in Cambridge, economics in London and then international business at Brunel University, while taking jazz, blues and voice classes. After working for a company in London he returned to Turkey to focus on music. The album work he began in 2011 came out in 2013 as Bilmezsin. His real breakthrough was the duet, a Turkish adaptation of Sway, which was nominated for best newcomer at the 2014 Turkey Music Awards. It was followed by his reinterpretation of a Suat Sayın song, Sevemez Kimse Seni. Singles such as Sor and Aç Kollarını followed, and in 2022 the EP Cemiyet Gazinosu appeared on Sony, continuing his habit of reworking the gazino mood with a modern sound.

He started acting in 2015 with the FOX series İnadına Aşk, then appeared in productions such as Rengarenk and Menajerimi Ara and in the films Yıldızlar Da Kayar and Benden Ne Olur?. His mother is a painter and his father a pianist; in interviews he has described working as a barista and a taxi driver early on.
