Çelik — Biography
Çelik Erişçi, known professionally as Çelik, is a Turkish singer, songwriter and composer born on May 12, 1966, in Istanbul, and one of the defining names of Turkish pop music in the 1990s.
He began his recording career as part of the trio İzel-Çelik-Ercan, alongside İzel Çeliköz and Ercan Saatçi, whose 1991 album "Özledim" became a widely popular release. From 1992 onward he pursued a solo career, releasing more than twenty albums.
Known for songs such as "Hercai", "Ateşteyim", "Meyhaneci", "Kızımız Olacaktı" and "Yaman Sevda", Çelik is regarded as one of the enduring names of Turkish pop.
