Caner Osmanpaşa — Biography
Caner Osmanpaşa is a 1.82 m centre-back who has won the Turkish Cup with two different clubs, Akhisarspor (2017-18) and Sivasspor (2021-22). Born in Trabzon, he rose through the lower leagues of the region and played for clubs such as Orduspor, Denizlispor and Trabzonspor; since February 2026 he has been at TFF 1. Lig side Sarıyerspor.
He began in the youth ranks of Çağlayanspor, moved to the Akçaabat Sebatspor academy and signed a professional contract in 2008; he made his first official appearance on 21 September 2008 against Pazarspor. After playing only eight matches in a season and a half, he became a regular for two seasons, then went to Orduspor, to Denizlispor in the 2011-12 winter break and, on a free transfer, to 1461 Trabzon. When his coach Mustafa Reşit Akçay moved to Trabzonspor, he followed him there, and in 2014-15 he was loaned to Kayseri Erciyesspor.
He joined Akhisarbelediyespor in 2015-16 and was in the side that won the 2017-18 Turkish Cup on 10 May 2018, the club's first major trophy. In June 2019 he left Akhisarspor for Sivasspor, and in early 2020 his form put him in the national-team conversation; he said that everyone wants to play for the national side. In August 2024 he signed a one-year contract with Kocaelispor, then played for Çorum FK, joined Sarıyerspor in February 2026 and stayed there in June 2026.
