Can Uğurluer — Biography

Can Uğurluer is an Istanbul-born pop singer best known as a member of the trio that represented Turkey at the 1991 Eurovision Song Contest. He is the son of the composer and pianist Şevket Uğurluer, and the contest remains the most visible moment of his career.

Turkey's 1991 entry was chosen at a national final that TRT held on 9 March 1991 at its Ankara studios; fourteen songs took part and the winner was decided by eight regional juries. With İzel Çeliköz and Reyhan Karaca, Uğurluer performed İki Dakika at the final in Rome. The song was composed by his father with lyrics by Aysel Gürel. The trio performed 10th in the running order, after France and before Ireland, and finished 12th with 44 points. The Turkish jury gave its 12 points to Israel.

His discography includes the 1991 album Kim Kim and the 2010 single "Aşkım Sırrın Olsun".
