Can Arat — Biography
Can Arat (born 21 January 1984 in Istanbul) is a Turkish former international footballer of Armenian descent. Standing 1.90 m tall, he played as a centre back.
Born in the Merdivenköy neighbourhood of Kadıköy, Arat is best remembered for his years at Fenerbahçe and also earned caps for the Turkey national team. He spent the later part of his playing career at Sarıyer. After retiring, he worked as a coach and in 2023 took up a university lecturing post.
In January 2026 he was among the coaches referred to the Professional Football Disciplinary Committee as part of the Turkish Football Federation's betting investigation.
