Burak Uça — Biography

Mehmet Burak Kağan Uça was born on 8 December 1989 in Mönchengladbach, Germany, to a Turkish working-class family, and is a Turkish-German footballer who played as a forward or winger. He began playing football in the youth system of the city's established club, Borussia Mönchengladbach, and when he reached first-team age moved to 3. Liga side Wuppertaler SV Borussia, where he spent one season. Like many Turkish-origin players raised in Europe, he then decided to try his luck in Turkey, joining Göztepe for the 2010-11 season; he made his official debut for the club on 26 September 2010 against Yeni Malatyaspor in the 2. Lig, and that season helped the team win the 2. Lig title and promotion to the 1. Lig.

For 2011-12 he was loaned to fellow İzmir club Altay, where he again drew attention with his performances. Between 2013 and 2015 he played for Alanyaspor, later moving on to İnegölspor. He holds both Turkish and German citizenship.
